FILTERS JOINT VENTURE IN CHINA

REGULATORY APPROVAL GRANTED

Further to the announcement on 27 November 2019, Essentra plc is pleased to confirm that formal approval for the establishment of its new joint venture (JV) company in China, China Tobacco Essentra (Xiamen) Filters Co., Ltd has been received from the relevant regulatory authorities in accordance with the Tobacco Monopoly Law of the People's Republic of China.

Establishment of the JV remains subject to the execution of certain ancillary documents and completion is anticipated prior to the year end.
