Board Appointment

Entain plc (LSE: ENT), the global sports betting and gaming group, announces the appointment of Ricky Sandler as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Mr. Sandler is the founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Eminence Capital LP, a global investment management organisation.

Mr. Sandler will also become a member of the Company's People & Governance and Capital Allocation committees. As a member of the People and Governance committee, Entain and Mr. Sandler will work together to identify an additional Non-Executive Director mutually agreeable to Eminence and the company.

Corporate Governance Information

Under the provisions of the UK Corporate Governance Code, Mr. Sandler will not be considered an independent Non-Executive Director.

In connection with his appointment, the Company, Eminence Capital and Mr. Sandler have entered into a relationship agreement, including customary governance, standstill and voting provisions. Notification under Listing Rule 9.6.13

Mr. Sandler previously served as a Non-Executive Director of Ashland Inc. (previously Ashland Global Holdings Inc.) between January 2020 and January 2023. There are no other details that need to be disclosed under paragraphs 9.6.13 (2) to (6) of the Listing Rules.

About Ricky Sandler

Mr. Sandler founded Eminence Capital in 1999. Today, Eminence is a USD6.5 billion global investment management organization investing client capital across global financial markets. As CEO and CIO of Eminence, Mr. Sandler is responsible for setting the firm's strategic direction as well as directly managing its 20+ person investment team and diversified investment portfolio. Prior to launching Eminence, Mr. Sandler was co-founder and co-general partner of Fusion Capital Management, a firm that managed a long/short hedge fund focused on global equity securities. Prior to that he was a research analyst at Mark Asset Management, where he began his investing career in 1991. Mr. Sandler received a BBA in Accounting and Finance graduating with honours from the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Sandler developed and teaches a capstone Finance course at Wisconsin, Applied Equity Markets Research and launched Badgers in Finance; a professional and recruitment network for UW students and alumni across financial services. Mr. Sandler serves as an advisor on the Investment Committee for the University of Wisconsin Foundation and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
