Response to Announcement by Mr Alexander Machkevitch

The Board of Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation PLC ('ENRC' or, together with its subsidiaries, the 'Group') notes the announcement earlier today from Mr Alexander Machkevitch that he is in the preliminary stages of forming a consortium to assess a potential offer for the Company. The Board confirms that it has not received any proposal which could result in an offer or possible offer for the Group.

In accordance with Rule 2.10 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers, ENRC announces that, as at close of business on 19 April 2013, ENRC had 1,287,750,000 ordinary shares of US$0.20 value, with one voting right per share.

The ISIN for ENRC's ordinary shares is GB00B29BCK10.

The Board advises that shareholders take no action.
