Elephant Loans & Mortgages PLC20 July 2007 ELEPHANT LOANS & MORTGAGES PLC "Elephant Loans" or "the Company" Re: Training Academy Following the establishment of its in-house training Academy in March 2007,Elephant Loans, the sales distribution channel for specialist lenders, isdelighted to announce that the 'Elephant Academy' has produced its firstmortgage adviser graduates. The Company is extremely pleased to announce thatall have passed their Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice. This furtheradds to Elephant's existing team of qualified mortgage advisers. It is importantto note that the Company advises customers on the range of loan and mortgageproducts available but is not a lender itself. Based at the Company's head office in Twickenham, the Academy was established tofocus on staff training, in particular customer service and compliance. All newemployees undergo an intensive training period at the Academy in order to ensurethat they meet with Elephant Loans' high standard of due diligence andcompliance. Existing employees also receive additional training as required tomaintain best practice in line with current guidance. Part of the trainingscheme includes the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP), thebenchmark qualification for the industry, making graduates fully qualifiedmortgage advisers. The management believe this investment in our employees willhelp retain the best calibre staff and underpin its culture of strong customerservice and regulatory compliance.
