ELECO announces the general availability of its Asta Powerproject® BIM and ELECO BIMCloud® solutions after rigorous testing

ELECO is pleased to announce the general availability of its two new offerings - Asta Powerproject® BIM and its ELECO BIMCloud® collaboration solution.

BIM is a process involving the generation and management of digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of place. ELECO is committed to providing innovative BIM solutions to assist construction industry participants to work more collaboratively and with greater efficiency.

Asta Powerproject® BIM, is an extension of ELECO's current market leading project planning solution which allows 3D building models to be connected and to interact with project management schedules in one application. This capability is currently unique to Asta Powerproject® BIM, and gives users of the software a competitive edge in 4D planning (3D+time) - with greater efficiency and less margin for error.

ELECO BIMCloud® permits the secure storage of building project information and enables architects, estimators, project managers and other project participants, on a controlled and authorised basis, to access and share information and thereby to facilitate collaboration on the project.

The UK Government is part way through a four year programme for construction sector modernisation with the key objective of: reducing capital cost and the carbon burden from the construction and operation of the built environment by 20%. Central to these objectives is the adoption of information rich BIM technologies, process and collaborative behaviours with the aim of unlocking more efficient ways of working at all stages of the project life-cycle by 2016.

Today's announcement of the general availability of ELECO's Asta Powerproject® BIM software and of the ELECO BIMCloud® system is in-line with this objective.
