Ei Group plc - Transaction in Own Shares
Ei Group plc (the "Company") announces that on 22 January 2019, in accordance with the authority given to the Company by its shareholders and pursuant to a share repurchase programme with Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch, it purchased for cancellation from Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch the following ordinary shares:

Following the above purchases, the Company has 506,220,177 ordinary shares in issue, including 50,000,000 shares held in treasury. The total voting rights excluding shares held in treasury is now 456,220,177.
The above figure of 456,220,177 ordinary shares may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
Pursuant to the share repurchase programme announced by the Company on 20 November 2018 the Company has now bought back a total of 10,573,141 ordinary shares at a cost of £20 million and has now completed this share repurchase programme.
