e2v secures £18.3m contract renewal
e2v technologies, a specialist developer and manufacturer of high technology components and sub-systems, announces it has secured a contract renewal worth £18.3m.
e2v will supply products from its electron device and sub-systems division, for incorporation into linear accelerators for radiotherapy cancer treatment machines, to an existing Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customer.
e2v's electron devices generate and deliver the microwave power required by radiotherapy cancer treatment machines to produce the X-rays used in the imaging and radiation treatment of tumours, and are for both new equipment and the ongoing service and support of installed systems.
Deliveries will commence immediately and be completed over a 3 year period.
Keith Attwood, Chief Executive of e2v said: "This contract renewal helps underpin trading performance for the current year and beyond, reinforcing our strong position in this market."
