e2v secures contract renewal worth over £40m
e2v technologies announces it has secured a multi-year contract renewal worth over £40m.
e2v will supply products from its RF Power division for incorporation within linear accelerators, a key sub-system for radiotherapy cancer treatment machines, to Elekta Ltd, Crawley, UK. The requirement is for both new equipment and the ongoing service and support of installed systems.
The contract is effective from 1st February 2013 and covers a period of 3 years and 3 months.
e2v's products generate and deliver the microwave power required from the linear accelerator within the radiotherapy cancer treatment system to produce the X-rays used in both the imaging and radiation treatment of tumours.
