AGM Statement
Dart Group PLC is pleased to announce that all of the ordinary and special resolutions proposed at today's Annual General Meeting were approved.
Commenting on current trading, Philip Meeson, Group Chairman and Chief Executive, said:
"Summer 2013 trading in our leisure travel businesses has been satisfactory despite the fine weather experienced in the North this year. Our Leisure Airline, Jet2.com, has achieved higher yields and load factors than during Summer 2012 although operating margins remain under pressure. Our Package Holidays business, Jet2holidays, continues to meet its substantial passenger growth targets and will provide approximately 30% of the Group's Summer 2013 leisure travel customers.
The coming Winter months continue to provide limited opportunity for revenue growth, which is increasingly focused on the Summer season.
Fowler Welch, our Distribution & Logistics business, continues to trade in line with expectations, focusing on growing its revenue pipeline and delivering operational efficiency improvements.
The Board remains cautiously optimistic in relation to profit growth and currently expects to meet market expectations for the financial year ending 31 March 2014."
