ACAL PLC - NEW BOARD APPOINTMENT
Acal plc ("Acal") announces that Richard Brooman, Deputy Chairman of Invesco Perpetual UK Smaller Companies Investment Trust Plc, a Non-Executive Director of Hg Capital Trust Plc and an independent Non-Executive Director with multi-sector board level experience, has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Acal with effect from 1 January 2013.
During his executive career, Mr Brooman was Group Finance Director of Sherwood International Plc (2000-02) and Group Finance Director of VCI Plc (1997-99). His earlier career was spent with Smithkline Beecham Plc and Mars Incorporated in senior financial and operational management positions. He trained as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse (London).
The only matter requiring disclosure under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules other than those matters disclosed above is the fact that Mr Brooman was also a Non-Executive Director of SVM UK Active Fund Plc (March-July 2011).
