Diploma PLC24 January 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 24 January 2007 DIPLOMA PLC APPOINTMENT OF NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Diploma PLC, the group of specialised international distribution businesses, today announces the appointment of Ian Grice (aged 53) as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Diploma PLC, which is effective immediately. Ian is Group Chief Executive of Alfred McAlpine plc. He is a chartered engineer who was previously a director with John Mowlem plc where he worked for 17 years, after starting his career with Laing and Kier. Commenting on his appointment, John Rennocks, Chairman of Diploma PLC said: "I am delighted that Ian will be joining our Board and look forward to the experience he will bring to the Company".
