DUNEDIN ENTERPRISE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

APPOINTMENT TO BOARD

The Board of Dunedin Enterprise Investment Trust PLC ('the Company') announces that Duncan Budge has been appointed as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 2 April 2012.

In November 2011 Duncan Budge retired from his role as an Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer at RIT Capital Partners plc ("RIT") having been appointed in 1995. He had been a director of J Rothschild Capital Management Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of RIT, since 1988. Prior to this, he spent six years with Lazard Brothers & Co Limited. He is also a non-executive director of The World Trust Fund which he joined in 2006.

Commenting on the appointment Ned Dawnay, Chairman of Dunedin Enterprise said:

"I am delighted that Duncan Budge has agreed to join Dunedin Enterprise as a non-executive director. Duncan's considerable experience obtained whilst with RIT will complement the current skill base of the Board and will assist in the continuing growth of shareholder value."

Duncan Budge will also be appointed as a member of the Audit and Nomination Committees at the same time as he joins the Board on 2 April 2012.

Dunedin Enterprise discloses the foregoing information pursuant to Rules 9.6.11R and 9.6.13R of the UKLA Listing Rules. There is no further information which would require disclosure under 9.6.13R of the UKLA listing rules.
