BOARD APPOINTMENTS

DFS Furniture plc ("DFS" or the "Company"), the market leading retailer of living room and upholstered furniture in the United Kingdom, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jo Boydell and Steve Johnson as independent non-executive Directors of the Company. Both Jo and Steve will be members of the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Committees, and start with immediate effect.

Jo has been the Chief Financial Officer of Travelodge Limited since 2013. Prior to that, Jo held senior finance roles across a number of consumer-facing companies including Mothercare, Jessops, Ladbrokes plc, Hilton Group plc and EMI Group. She is a qualified accountant.

Steve has over 20 years' experience in the retail industry. He is currently a non-executive Director of Big Yellow plc and the Senior Independent Director of Lenta Limited, a leading Russian hypermarket operator. Prior to this, Steve held senior executive roles with a number of retailers including Poundworld, Focus Wickes DIY Group and Woolworths. Prior to these roles, Steve spent 8 years at Asda having originally started his career in management consultancy with Bain & Co.

As previously announced, in order to ensure an orderly transfer of responsibilities, Julie Southern will continue in her role as Chair of the Audit Committee until her departure from the Company on 31 March 2019, at which time Jo Boydell will be appointed Chair of the Audit Committee.

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.13 we confirm that Steve Johnson was a director of Poundworld Retail Limited when it went into administration on 11 June 2018

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.13 we confirm that Jo Boydell was a director of Snap Equity Limited which entered into a creditors voluntary liquidation on 24 May 2013 and JGLCC Camera Company which entered into a creditors voluntary liquidation on 11 December 2013.
