DDD signsTriDef SmartCam software distribution agreement with SplitmediaLabs
Los Angeles, California: DDD Group plc (AIM: DDD; OTCQX: DDDGY), the advanced imaging and 3D solutions company, has signed its first distribution agreement for its TriDef® SmartCam™ software with Hong Kong-based software developer SplitmediaLabs Ltd for use with SplitmediaLabs' popular XSplit Broadcaster and XSplit Gamecaster applications. This is a two-year, non-exclusive affiliate agreement that will operate on a revenue share basis between DDD and SplitmediaLabs.
XSplit Broadcaster is one of the most popular and widely used applications for live internet broadcasting, with a presence in more than 150 countries.
XSplit Gamecaster is a live streaming and recording solution, allowing users to upload and share their greatest gaming moments to popular video services, such as YouTube and Twitch, at the click of a button.
Under the terms of the agreement, DDD and SplitmediaLabs will work together to integrate the TriDef SmartCam capabilities into the XSplit products to create an easy to use experience that will be promoted to new and existing XSplit users, as well as Original Equipment Manufacturers ("OEMs") of PCs. Once this is complete, SplitmediaLabs will actively promote the TriDef SmartCam add-on to its end users as a free download from DDD's TriDef website.
After a seven day free trial, XSplit users will be able to purchase TriDef SmartCam for US$9.99.
By adding TriDef SmartCam's real time background segmentation capabilities, users of XSplit Broadcaster and XSplit Gamecaster will be able to overlay the webcam image of themselves into the game or broadcast video they are preparing before broadcast or streaming, greatly simplifying the 'green screen' overlay process that is currently used.
