DDD's TriDef continues to power 3D for Samsung PC monitors
Los Angeles, California DDD Group plc (AIM: DDD; OTCQX: DDDGY), the 3D solutions company, has renewed its license agreement with Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. to bundle DDD's TriDefTM 3D solutions with Samsung's lineup of 3D monitors.
Samsung's range of 3D monitors delivers a wide variety of content in 3D, including games, movies, internet content, photos and 3D broadcast channels. Users can enjoy extraordinarily lifelike images in both 2D and 3D, utilizing select models' 2D to 3D conversion capabilities.
Samsung's 3D monitors deliver stunning picture quality, with vibrant colors that jump off of the screen. Each monitor utilizes a combination of LED-backlight and 100% sRGB coverage. (Standard Red, Green, Blue is one of the most common working spaces used in digital photography.) Additionally, Samsung's proprietary Ultra Clear Panel combines the vibrancy of a glossy display with an anti-glare matte finish, providing richer blacks and enhanced contrast.
Available in more than 37 languages, DDD's TriDef 3D software allows over 750 of the latest PC games to be played in stereoscopic 3D 'off the shelf', even in cases where the game has not been specifically developed for 3D.
The TriDef 3D game conversion engine is compatible with DirectX 9, 10 and 11 games. Its unique high-performance stereoscopic 3D render mode enables 3D gaming with no significant compromise in performance, and is compatible with PC graphics processors from AMD, nVIDIA and Intel's 2nd Gen Core processors.
In addition to a wide variety of PC games, TriDef 3D automatically converts PC video and photo files from 2D to 3D and is compatible with the growing library of original 3D content available from DDD's Yabazam! 3D content portal.
