DDD renews TriDef 3D licensing deal with China's top PC maker

Los Angeles, California: DDD Group plc (AIM: DDD), the 3D solutions company, has licensed its TriDefTM 3D software for another two years to Top Victory Investments Ltd (TPV), for use in the AOC, Envision, Philips and TPV's own brand of 3D monitors. These polarized 'FPR' 3D displays use DDD's TriDef® 3D technology to provide 2D to 3D conversion for video and games, as well as playback for originally made 3D photo and video content.

TPV is the world's leading PC monitor and LCD TV manufacturer, and is the first Chinese company launching a 3D monitor in China. AOC, a global leading PC consumer brand of monitors, is ranked No.1 with approximately 30% market share in China, and has succeeded in the growth market of internet cafes in China. Accordingly, TPV has now expanded the AOC line-up into the worldwide market.

DDD's TriDef 3D automatically converts PC videos, photos and DVD movies from 2D to 3D. It also allows almost 100 popular Chinese online games and over 670 of the latest PC games to be played in 3D "off the shelf" even though they have not been specifically developed for 3D. The game conversion engine is compatible with games that run on DirectX 9, 10 and 11. It is available in 37 languages.

DDD will continue to receive quarterly royalties based on the volume of AOC, Envision, Philips and TPV's ownbrand 3D monitors shipped.
