Vestel licenses DDD's TriDef 3D technology for 3D PC monitors
Los Angeles, California: DDD Group plc (AIM: DDD), the 3D solutions company, has licensed its TriDefTM3D software to Turkey-based PC manufacturer Vestel Digital for use in 3D monitors.
Vestel Digital is part of the Vestel Group, a leading European supplier of consumer electronics and household appliances ranging from notebook PCs and monitors to televisions, set top boxes and household appliances.
DDD will receive quarterly royalty revenues from Vestel, based on the volume of 3D monitors shipped. The monitors are expected to start shipping during the current quarter.
DDD's TriDef 3D technology automatically converts videos, photos and DVD movies from 2D to 3D. It also allows over 725 of the latest PC games to be played in 3D "off the shelf," even if they have not been specifically developed for 3D.
Available in 37 languages, the TriDef 2D to 3D game conversion engine is compatible with DirectX 9, 10 and 11 games. Its unique high-performance stereoscopic 3D render mode enables 3D gaming with no significant compromise in performance, and is compatible with PC graphics processors from AMD, NVIDIA and Intel's 2nd Gen Core processors.
The Vestel monitors will also include a selection of original, high definition 3D programming available from Yabazam.com, DDD's 3D entertainment portal, to ensure a variety of content for 3D viewing.

Over 23 million TriDef 3D products in total have been shipped by DDD's licensees worldwide to date.
