INTEL and DDD to demonstrate stereoscopic 3D games at 2010 International CES

3D PC games powered by DDD's TriDef to feature in Intel CEO's CES 2010 keynote address 

Las Vegas, Nevada, January 8, 2010 -  DDD Group plc (LSE: DDD) today announced that Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC) will demonstrate the latest in 3D PC gaming at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show allowing visitors to play Codemaster's blockbuster game Colin McRae: DiRT2 in mind blowing stereoscopic 3D enabled by DDD's TriDef® Ignition software.

During CES, delegates will also have the opportunity to experience scenes from the game on the big screen in 3D during Intel President and CEO Paul Otellini's keynote address on Thursday January 7th between 4:30 and 5:30pm at the Las Vegas Hilton's Hilton Center.

Intel and DDD's engineers have collaborated to optimize the DDD TriDef 3D software for Intel's next generation mobile and desktop processors that are based on Intel's Nehalem architecture. This includes the new Intel® Core™ i5 processors for mobile computing and the upcoming Intel® Core™ i7 980x Extreme Edition desktop processors that are planned for introduction this year.

With CES heralding the arrival of a wide range of 3D PC monitors, notebooks and HD TVs, DDD's TriDef software brings a rich 3D media experience to notebooks and desktops including:

Automatic 2D to 3D conversion for video games: DDD's TriDef Ignition allows virtually every available video game to be played in 3D and unlocks stereo 3D with Intel's all new 2010 Intel® Core processor family.

Automatic 2D to 3D conversion for video and photos: DDD's TriDef 3D automatically converts normal two dimensional video and photos to 3D at the press of a button, ensuring that end users have immediate access to a wealth of 3D compatible content including user-generated 3D content.

Presentation of originally made 3D content: DDD's TriDef 3D allows originally made 3D content to be delivered to the desktop in a wide range of 3D formats, delivering crisp clear high definition 3D, including one of the largest online digital 3D movie libraries available from DDD's Yabazam.com portal.

Intel and DDD will preview stereoscopic 3D PC games at Intel's booth, located at booth #7153 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
