Dairy Crest Group PLC01 September 2005 Dairy Crest Group - Director Shareholding Dairy Crest Group plc (the "Company") has been informed today that theshareholding in the Company owned beneficially by Mr P W Thornton, a director ofthe company, increased by 53 shares by virtue of the automatic reinvestment ofthe dividend recently paid by the Company to the manager of an ISA held in MrThornton's name. The reinvestment was effected by the ISA manager at 507.50p pershare on 12 August 2005. As a result of this transaction Mr P W Thornton nowbeneficially owns 26,220 shares in Dairy Crest (representing 0.02% of the issuedshare capital of the Company).
