Embargoed: 0700hrs 8 February 2005 Digital Classics Plc (the "Company") Appointment of Director Digital Classics Plc, the world's leading international classical music andarts programme distribution business, is delighted to appoint David Elstein asnon-executive Chairman with immediate effect.Mr Elstein, aged 60 has been involved in the media and broadcasting industryfor over forty years having held numerous distinguished positions with bothpublic and private companies. Mr Elstein held the position of Chief Executiveof Channel 5 Broadcasting for four years where he led the channel through itslaunch in 1997 and, by the time of his departure, had taken audience share to5.7% and the value of the business to over ‚£1 billion. Prior to Channel 5 hewas Head of programming at BSkyB, responsible for eleven broadcast channels.His time at BSkyB saw its losses of ‚£10 million per week transformed intoprofits of ‚£6 million per week.
