Dixons Carphone plc
Directorate Changes
In line with previous announcements, Dixons Carphone plc (the "Company") announces that Humphrey Singer will step down from the Board with effect from today, being after the issue of the annual results 2017/18. As previously communicated, Humphrey will be leaving the Company to join Marks & Spencer Group plc, and Clare Pettitt was appointed Interim Group Chief Financial Officer until Jonny Mason joins the business as Group Chief Financial Officer later this summer.
The Company also announces that Jock Lennox has decided to step down as a Non-Executive Director on 31 December 2018. Fiona McBain will succeed Jock as Chair of the Audit Committee at the conclusion of the Company's Annual General Meeting on 6 September 2018.
Jock Lennox said:
"I am proud to have been a member of a well-regarded and effective Board in a period of great change through the Merger and subsequently. I have decided it is the appropriate time for me to stand down and I am confident that I leave the Committee in the capable hands of Fiona, who has provided insightful contributions in her first year."
Lord Livingston said:
"Jock has made a great contribution to the Company's success, as a valued member of both the Dixons Retail and the Dixons Carphone boards, and as Audit Committee Chairman. On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Jock for his service over the last six years. Fiona has already made a great contribution since joining the Board in March 2017 and I look forward to working with her as Chair of the Audit Committee."
