Board Changes

Cyan Holdings plc (AIM: CYAN.L), the fabless semiconductor company providing wireless utility metering and lighting control products based on its feature rich, low power, microcontroller chips is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Peter Smith as non-executive director with immediate effect.

Simon, aged 42, is an experienced financial executive with over twenty years' experience in the semiconductor and technology sectors. He is currently an independent adviser to both start-up and listed technology companies providing a range of assistance including fund raising, business planning and contract negotiation.

Prior to establishing himself as an independent adviser in 2007, Simon held the position of Chief Financial Officer/Director of Finance at multi-national businesses in both the UK and USA since 1997 and his experiences include multiple business acquisitions/disposals, fund raising, business planning, cash management and customer contract negotiation.

Before 1997, Simon was a Management Consultant in both the UK and USA where he managed a team of consultants on multiple implementations of ERP systems. Simon qualified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales in 1991.

The Company also announces that David Gutteridge will be stepping down from the Board and retiring as a non-executive director of the Company at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 21 April 2010.

Commenting on these changes, John Read, Chairman, said:

Save as disclosed below, there is no further information in respect of Simon Smith's appointment required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 to the AIM Rules for Companies.

Mr Smith currently holds the following directorships:

Elixent Holdings Limited (which is currently in members' voluntary liquidation)

Elixent Limited (which is currently in members' voluntary liquidation)

Mr. Smith has held the following directorships in the last five years:

Elixent Trustees Limited (which was dissolved on 23 January 2007).

Simon does not currently hold any shares in, or options over shares in, the capital of the Company.
