New Directorship Held in Another Publicly Quoted Company

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.14, the Company announces that Richard Adam, Group Finance Director of Carillion plc, has today been appointed a Non-Executive Director of Countrywide plc ('Countrywide') , the estate agency and property services group. Mr. Adam will be Chairman of Countrywide's Audit and Risk Committee with effect from 1 August 2014.

Mr. Adam is also a Non-Executive Director of Wincanton plc and was previously Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of SSL International plc and Zattikka plc.
