Board Change Announcement

Countrywide plc, the UK's largest property services group, announces that Bob Davies has decided to step down as Chairman for personal reasons. David Watson, independent non-executive Director of the Company and Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee, has agreed to act as interim Chairman with immediate effect.

The Board would like to thank Bob for his significant contribution to the Group, both during the IPO process and in the early stages of Countrywide's life as a public company.

 A further announcement will be made once the process to appoint a permanent successor has concluded.
