Transfer of Shares out of Treasury and Total Voting Rights
Cable & Wireless Communications Plc (the "Company") today announces that on 9 May 2016, 64,757,570 ordinary shares of the Company were transferred out of Treasury to The Cable & Wireless Communications Plc Share Ownership Trust in connection with the satisfaction of certain employee incentive plan awards of the Company (the "Transfer").
Following the Transfer, the Company has a total of 4,475,953,616 Ordinary Shares of US$0.05 nominal value ("Ordinary Shares"). There are 42,731,303 shares held in Treasury. The total number of voting shares in the Company is 4,433,222,313. Shareholders may use this figure as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules ("DTR").
