Cable & Wireless Communications Plc (the "Company") today announces that Clare Underwood, Company Secretary of the Company, notified it that on 27 April she transferred 228,380 ordinary shares of 5 cents each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares"), representing 0.001% of the Company's issued share capital, into an account held in the name of her spouse, Chris Underwood, for nil consideration. Following the transfer, the total beneficial interest of Clare Underwood and her connected persons in the Ordinary Shares remains unchanged at 456,760 shares, representing 0.001% of the Company's issued share capital.
