Redstone joins 'G-Cloud' framework
Redstone plc (AIM:RED), the integrated ICT and Communications Solutions provider announces its successful inclusion on the G-cloud framework - a new government initiative to allow the public sector to more easily procure cloud services.
Redstone applied for three lots in the initiative - Lot 1: Infrastructure (IaaS) Services, Lot 3: Software as a Service (SaaS) and Lot 4: Specialist Cloud Services - and was approved for all three.
Redstone will now feature in the Government Cloudstore - a marketplace of cloud services.

The government outlined its vision in the Government Cloud Strategy Report: "by adopting cloud computing, the government will be able to more easily exploit and share commodity ICT products and services. This enables the move from high-cost customised ICT applications and solutions to low cost, standard, interchangeable services where quality and cost is driven by the market."
