AIM Investments Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Astaire Securities Plc ("Astaire") as nominated adviser and broker with immediate effect.
In addition the Company has raised £112,413.70 from the placing at 0.5p per share of 22,482,740 new ordinary shares of 0.1p in the capital of the Company (the "Placing Shares"). The Placing Shares represent approximately 19.29 per cent. of the enlarged issued share capital and will rank parri passu with the existing ordinary shares. Application has been made for the Placing Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM and dealings are expected to commence at 8.00am on 19 April 2010. Following the issue of all of the Placing Shares, the total number of shares in issue will be 116,557,100 ordinary shares of 0.1p each. The Company is also in discussion with other potential investors which may lead to a further small fund raising in due course.
Following the appointment of Astaire, trading on AIM in the Company's shares will be restored as from 8.00am on 15 April 2010.
The directors of AIMI are investigating a number of potential investing opportunities, however the recent suspension of its shares resulted in a hiatus in the Company's operations and it is therefore possible that the Company will not be able to substantially implement its investing policy by 2 May 2010. Shareholders should note that, in this situation, trading in the Company's shares on AIM would be suspended on 3 May 2010 under Rule 15 of the AIM Rules. The Company will then have a further six months in which to substantially implement its Investing Policy, or carry out a reverse transaction under Rule 14 of the AIM Rules, before its admission to AIM is cancelled.
