CPL Resources PLC24 October 2007 CPL RESOURCES PLC AGM Statement The Chairman of CPL Resources plc, John Hennessy, will make the followingstatement at the Company's Annual General Meeting to be held today at 4pm in theMerrion Hotel Dublin. Trading update "The CPL Group has continued to perform well since 30 June 2007 and the Boardexpects that the results for the six months to 31 December 2007 will be in linewith current market expectations. Demand remains strong for permanent, temporary and contract employees. CPL isinvesting in strengthening its local and international operations, enhancing theGroup's infrastructure and continuing to develop talented professionals, inorder to capitalise on the opportunities for growth which we see across ourbusinesses. The businesses we acquired in the year to 30 June 2007 have been integrated intothe Group and are all performing well. Current trading conditions indicate that the business will continue to performwell over the coming months." Board Membership "One of our longest-serving directors, Pat Garvey, has indicated his intentionto retire from the Board with effect from the conclusion of the Company's annualgeneral meeting today. Pat has been a non-executive director of CPL Resources plc since we came to themarket in June 1999. Since then he has been a tremendous contributor to andsupporter of the Group. He has brought to the Board his considerable expertiseand experience as an entrepreneur, a businessman and a director. All of theshareholders have benefited from his outstanding contribution to the businessover a period of more than 8 years. It is with a mixture of gratitude andsadness that we mark Pat's contribution to, and departure from, the Board, andwe wish him well in the future.
