Board changes

Carpetright announces the following changes to the non-executive composition of its Board.

After nearly nine years' service on the Board, Sandra Turner will stand down as Non-Executive Director at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting to be held on 5 September 2019.

We are pleased to announce that Pauline Best will join the Board as an independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 August 2019. She will succeed Sandra Turner as the Chair of the Remuneration Committee following Sandra's retirement from the Board. Pauline will also join the Audit and Nomination Committees.

Pauline is an experienced Human Resources professional who was the Global People and Organisation Director of Specsavers for 10 years. Prior to that she spent 20 years in the Mobile communications industry, including 12 years with Vodafone where she most recently held the positions as Global Leadership, Talent and People Capability Director. Pauline's human resources and commercial people experience is invaluable as she brings that perspective to the Board.

She is also a Non-Executive Director for Vertu Motors plc where she also chairs the Remuneration committee.
