Costain Group PLC announces the appointment of Fiona MacAulay as an independent non-executive director with effect from 6 April 2022.

Fiona is non-executive chair and remuneration committee chair of IOG plc, senior independent director and remuneration committee chair of Ferrexpo plc and non-executive director of Chemring Group PLC. Fiona was also until recently a non-executive director of Coro Energy PLC.

Prior to transitioning to a portfolio of non-executive and advisory roles in 2018, Fiona, a Chartered Geologist with over 35 years' experience, held senior roles and board positions in the upstream oil and gas sector across a number of large and small cap companies including BG Group, Mobil and latterly as COO of Rockhopper Exploration plc and CEO of Echo Energy PLC.

Fiona will be a member of the Company's Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Committees. She will become chair of the Remuneration Committee at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting to be held on 5 May 2022, taking over from Jacqueline de Rojas who became Remuneration Committee chair on an interim basis on 12 January 2022. Fiona will be leading the review of the remuneration policy for 2023.

She is an experienced non-executive director within the resources and industrial sectors and has significant credentials in ESG which will be important in supporting the delivery of our strategy which is focused on decarbonisation."
