London, United Kingdom, 7 May, 2014 - Canadian Overseas Petroleum Limited ("COPL" or "the Company") (LSE: COPL & TSX-V: XOP), the offshore West Africa focussed oil and gas exploration and development company, announces the following voting rights in COPL in respect of issued shares in accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules as at close of business 30 April 2014:

--351,495,497 Ordinary Shares of no par value. Each Ordinary Share carries one voting right.

The above figure of 351,495,497 Ordinary Shares may be used by shareholders in COPL as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, COPL under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
