8 September 2005 Circle Oil plc ("Circle Oil" or the "Company") Result of AGM & Appointment of Director At the Annual General Meeting (the "Meeting") of the Company held today, allresolutions were passed.At the Meeting, the Board of Circle Oil plc was pleased to announce theappointment of Prof. Chris Green to the Board as a non-executive director.Prof. Green is an explorationist and geophysicist with over thirty yearsexperience in the oil and gas industry including twenty-four years at Shell,where he held various senior positions leaving in 1998 as PrincipalGeophysicist and Global Shell Group Advisor. From 1998 to 2001 he was Directorof Strategic Development and Geosciences at Racal Electronics and from 2001 to2004 he was Chief Technical Officer at Thales Geosolutions Group. During theperiod 1996 to 2004 he was also Professor of Geophysics at the University ofSaint Andrews in Scotland.Prof. Green is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Fellow of theGeological Society.
