Smiths News PLC30 August 2006 Application has been made to The UK Listing Authority and the London StockExchange for block listings totalling 3,000,000 Ordinary shares of 365p each inSmiths News PLC to trade on the London Stock Exchange and to be admitted to theOfficial List upon issuance. The shares shall rank equally with the existingissued shares of the Company.
