Concurrent Technologies Plc Product Launch High Speed Fibre Optic Adaptor

Concurrent Technologies Plc ("Concurrent" or the "Company"), a world leading specialist in the design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products, announces the launch of its latest networking PMC mezzanine card - the CL PMC/GB4, an advanced fibre optic adaptor.

Designed by Concurrent specifically to augment the effectiveness of existing single board computer products, this product is capable of supporting extremely high speed data transfers. A two channel fibre optics adaptor, it is targeted at applications requiring high data throughput and low latency, as well as increased data security.

This adaptor can be used to further expand the functionality of Concurrent's high performance processor boards and should therefore also create new opportunities in different applications and projects for the Company's existing product lines. This new adaptor will be particularly suitable for defence or industrial applications which require a high level of electro-magnetic immunity and security of data, in addition to higher data throughput across increased network distances.

Commercial and extended temperature versions are available which should also increase its appeal.
