New Product Launch
Concurrent remains at the forefront of new industry computer platform
Concurrent Technologies Plc ("Concurrent" or the "Company"), a world leader in its specialist field of high-end embedded computer design and manufacture, announces the introduction of two new single board computers. These computers, as with all Concurrent products, are designed, developed and manufactured in-house for worldwide distribution.
The new products are based on a new platform called OpenVPX™, designed to meet the demands of next generation defence projects being a potential successor to VME - a long standing computer architecture popular in the defence sector. The introduction of these boards at an early stage of the architecture's announcement will maintain Concurrent's competitive position compared to other leadingcomputer manufacturers in the embedded market.
These two products, one geared towards high performance applications and the other being more suitable for lower power requirements, are demonstrative of the substantial in-house design and innovation capacity at Concurrent. This new industry-wide product specification is only recently completed and the Company has moved rapidly to ensure that it remains at the forefront of adoption, product development and future sales.
Glen Fawcett, Managing Director, Concurrent Technologies, commented:
