Release date: 30 June 2008 CLS HOLDINGS PLC ("CLS") PURCHASES OF SHARES IN CLOSE PERIOD

CLS Holdings plc announces that it has appointed an independent third party which makes its trading decisions in relation to the ordinary shares of CLS independently of, and uninfluenced by, CLS to purchase on CLS' behalf, and within certain pre-set parameters, ordinary shares in CLS during the period commencing on the date of this announcement and ending on the publication of CLS' half-yearly financial report for the period ending 30 June 2008 or, if earlier, termination of the appointment (during which period CLS and its directors, officers and employees would normally otherwise be prohibited from transacting in CLS ordinary shares).

Any share purchases effected pursuant to the appointment will in any case be effected in a manner consistent with both the general authority vested in CLS to repurchase shares and Chapter 12 of the Listing Rules, which require that the maximum price per share paid be limited to no more than 105 per cent of the average middle market closing price of CLS' ordinary shares for the five dealing days preceding the date of purchase, subject to a maximum price of 375p. Any purchases effected pursuant to this appointment will be announced in accordance with the Listing Rules.
