Pre-close trading update, change in directorate and notice of preliminary results

Elektron announces that Group trading for the year ended 31 January 2011 is expected to be in line with market expectations. The Company expects to release its Preliminary Results Announcement for the year to 31 January 2011 on 12 May 2011.

Elektron also announces that Geoff Spink, who joined the Company as Group Finance Director on the acquisition of Hartest Holdings Plc, has informed the Board of his intention to leave the Company towards the end of the current year after the release of the interim results. The Company has initiated a search for a successor to ensure an appropriate transition of responsibilities before Geoff departs.
