Elektron announces the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer, Adrian Girling with immediate effect. Adrian joined the Board in January 2003 and has overseen its development from a small UK loss-making group with sales of £9 million to a profitable offshore and UK manufacturer with sales approaching £40 million.
The Board has initiated the process to search for a new Group CEO. In the meantime Keith Daley will assume the role of Executive Chairman with the heads of the recently reorganized divisions reporting to him.
Keith Daley, Chairman of Elektron said: "This is the end of an era during which Elektron has been transformed from a small loss-maker five years ago into the successful company we know today.
The Board would like to record its thanks for the contribution made by Adrian during this formative period and we wish him every success for the future."
