Board Change
The Board of Clarkson PLC has accepted the resignation of Martin Clark, Senior Independent Director, who will step down on 30 September, 2008. Martin joined the Board in January 2002 and has resigned in order to devote additional time to his other corporate commitments.
Clarksons will announce Martin's replacement as chairman of the audit committee and as senior independent director in due course prior to his departure.

During this time, the business has evolved and developed both the depth and breadth of its global shipping services and Martin's counsel and advice have been greatly appreciated."
