NEW BUSINESS UPDATE

CityFibre confirmed as preferred bidder for Coventry fibre network

CityFibre (CFHL.L), the company that owns, builds and operates fibre optic infrastructure, is pleased to confirm that it is in advanced negotiations with Coventry City Council as preferred bidder to acquire a citywide fibre infrastructure network. The network, known as the Coventry Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), currently connects over 300 Council buildings, local schools and libraries in the city of Coventry. The Council have undertaken an open competitive process to invite bids for the MAN asset, which resulted in CityFibre's selection as preferred bidder. The acquisition is subject to final approvals from the council and the conclusion of contractual agreements.

CityFibre will update shareholders further on any material developments related to the proposed transaction.
