Re: Acquisition
In its Interim Results (released on 18 August 2011) the Company announced in respect of its proposed acquisition of Cinesur in Spain (the "Transaction") that the vendor had not been able to satisfy certain preconditions to completion within the agreed timescale, that negotiations were continuing with the vendor and that Cineworld was only prepared to complete the Transaction if the terms and conditions were in the best interests of its shareholders.
The vendor has been unable to meet the Company's requirements and as a result negotiations have been terminated.
