CARIBBEAN INVESTMENT HOLDINGS LIMITED ANNOUNCES DIRECTORATE CHANGE AND APPOINTMENT OF NEW CHAIRMAN
Belize City, Belize - October 09, 2019 - Caribbean Investment Holdings Limited (London - AIM: CIHL; Bermuda - BSX: CIHL) (the "Company") announces that Cheryl Jones has informed the Board that she is stepping down as Chairman and Non-Executive Director with immediate effect to concentrate her focus on other business obligations and developments.
Ms. Jones became a Non-Executive Director in 2008 and was subsequently appointed Chairman in 2011. The Board thanks Ms. Jones for her years of dedicated service and many contributions throughout the Company's transformation during challenging economic times and amid an environment of increased regulation.
The Board also wishes to announce the immediate appointment of Mr. Peter Gaze in place of Ms. Jones as Chairman of the Board. Peter Gaze has been a Director of the Company since 2007. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Marlowe Holdings PLC, Waterloo Investment Holdings Limited, Carlisle Support Services Group Limited, Normandy Limited and Hawley Group Limited.
Mr. Gaze was previously Chief Financial Officer of the Company from 1997 to 2015 and of Waterloo Investment Holdings Limited from 2011 to 2015. Mr. Gaze was also previously a senior financial executive at ADT Group Limited during its expansion in the UK and US in the period leading up to its acquisition by Tyco International in 1997.
Mr. Gaze trained with the international accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers in London and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
The Board of Directors of the Company is comprised of Euric Bobb, Peter Gaze, Lyndon Guiseppi, Ydahlia Metzgen, Philip Osborne and Geraldine Davis-Young.
