30 July 2013 Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc ("Conroy" or "the Company") Preliminary BIOX® Results Positive * Results in line with Scoping Study * Sulphide sulphur oxidation 98.6 per cent * Gold dissolution up to 90.4 per cent Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc (AIM: CGNR, ESM: CGNR.I), the goldexploration and mine development company which has discovered a thirty milegold district in Ireland running across Counties Armagh, Monaghan and Cavan andis planning to develop its first operational gold mine at Clontibret in Co.Monaghan, is pleased to announce that the preliminary results of the BIOX®tests which are being carried out in South Africa are positive. Sulphide sulphur oxidation up to 98.6 per cent has been achieved and golddissolution up to 90.4 per cent were recorded on the lode material. These arekey technical tests in relation to the process technology and are in line withthe projections in the Scoping Study. BIOX®which is a well established bacterial oxidation technique was recommendedby Tetra Tech in their Scoping Study as an appropriate technology for treatingthe gold sulphide concentrate at the proposed mine at Clontibret. BIOX®is anenvironmentally friendly proven technology with a number of plants in operationworldwide including South Africa, Ghana, Brazil, China and Australia. This release has been approved by Kevin McNulty PGeo, who is a member of theCompany's technical staff, who holds a BSc/MSc in Geology and Remote Sensing,in accordance with the guidance note for Mining, Oil & Gas Companies issued bythe London Stock Exchange in respect of AIM Companies, which outlines standardsof disclosure for mineral projects.
