In accordance with Rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules, Catlin Group Limited has been notified that John Barton, who has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive

Director of the Company with effect from 1 December 2011, is currently a Director of Cable & Wireless Worldwide Plc and Next Plc. He was also formerly a Director of Brit Insurance Holdings Limited, Brit Insurance Holdings NV, Hammerson Plc, Smith News Plc and WHSmith Plc.

Mr Barton has a beneficial interest in 18,040 common shares of $0.01 each in Catlin Group Limited.

There are no other matters to be disclosed pursuant to Rule 9.6.13.
