GRID® Release Date
Codemasters (AIM: CDM), the video game developer and publisher specialising in high quality racing games, has decided to move the previously announced release date of GRID in order to take advantage of a more favourable launch window during the peak release season, and closer to the November launch of Google's cloud gaming service Stadia, which features GRID as a launch title.
Further to the Company's announcement on 22 May 2019, which stated an original release date of 13 September 2019, GRID® will now be released on 11 October 2019. The Ultimate Edition will be available with three days early access on 8 October 2019.
The Company's expectations for GRID, and its contribution to the current financial year, remain unchanged.
GRID recently won "Best Racing Game" at E3 from Game Informer and DualShockers, and was a Best Racing Game finalist in the official Game Critics Awards. GRID will feature former F1® and current Le Mans World Endurance Champion, Fernando Alonso, who has signed as both Race Consultant and appears in-game.
