Clarity Commerce Solutions PLC05 August 2005 Clarity Commerce Solutions plc Clarity wins Greenhalgh's Craft Bakery contract Clarity Commerce Solutions plc ('Clarity'), a leading supplier of softwaremanagement solutions for the entertainment, ticketing, hospitality and leisuresectors, has won a contract with Greenhalgh's Craft Bakery, a wholesale andretail bakery business based in the northwest of England. Clarity will supplysoftware solutions to Greenhalgh's estate of 42 outlets, with installationscomplete by November 2005. The software and services will be based on Clarity's flagship product, ClarityCentral, and retail point of sale solutions will also be provided, improvingmanagement control and reporting, as well as retail outlet performance acrossthe estate. The Clarity solution will support Greenhalgh's moves to automateorder processing, increase efficiency and improve speed of service across itsretail estate. Clarity has held extensive discussions with Greenhalgh's IT team, furtherdeveloping its existing hospitality & retail software solutions to provide aperfect fit for a retail bakery operator. The enhanced front of houseapplications are still managed by Clarity Central, giving Greenhalgh's excellentvisibility of shop performance and a fully integrated stock ordering system. Inparticular, the implementation of a handheld ordering system which is also to beused by shop managers for checking goods-in, will swiftly identify stock lossesand eliminate any supply chain weaknesses. The contract represents Clarity's entry into the retail bakery market, whichconsists of a number of traditionally run, regionally-based bakery chains.
