The Oslo Airport Express Train (Flytoget) is Norway's first high-speed train,providing fast, modern and comfortable transportation between the OsloInternational Airport at Gardermoen and Oslo. MATRA has been the core supplierof Flytoget's ticketing infrastructure since 1998 and the provider of the systemthat supports their 'ticketless travel' concept. In this latest contract, worth over £500,000 across the next 2 years, MATRA willbe using the latest generation of their FREEDOM product suite to refresh theentire ticketing infrastructure. This is to enable Flytoget to continue theirstrategy of delivering improvements to the service. - Important new features ofthe system will be extensions to the ticketless travel experience, multi triptickets that can be topped up over the web, and the latest touch screentechnology at the sales counters. The FREEDOM product suite is an integrated multi channel sales solution thatencompasses point of sale, stored value and loyalty, web store integration,electronic value cards, and real-time data channelling. FREEDOM is installed atmajor retailers in the UK, US, Canada, Europe, Scandinavia and South Africa, Toril Dyrkorn, Head of IT at Flytoget said: "We are delighted to award this contract to MATRA. Clarity software progresses in European theme park market Clarity is also pleased to announce successful installation of its ticketing andpoint of sale (POS) solution at independent theme park, Movie Park Germany.Movie Park Germany is a well-established, independent theme park situated nearDusseldorf, Germany. During the 2006 season, Movie Park attracted approximately1.2m visitors. Movie Park took the decision to implement a comprehensive modernisationprogramme, which included the specification of a new IT environment, completewith ticketing and POS software, interfaced to Movie Park's new ERP and HRsystems. Clarity is delighted that this new installation not only gives it a presence inthe complimentary theme park marketplace, but also confirms Clarity's presencein mainland Europe.
