APPOINTMENT OF PAUL ABBERLEY AS DIRECTOR
Charles Stanley Group PLC announced on 27 October 2014 that Paul Abberley had been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Company subject to regulatory approval.
We are now delighted to announce that the Financial Conduct Authority has granted approval, and accordingly the appointment of Paul Abberley is confirmed, with effect from today, as a director and as Chief Executive Officer of Charles Stanley Group PLC.
Paul joined Charles Stanley as Chief Investment Officer-designate in June 2014, and was previously the interim Chief Executive Officer of Aviva Investors Holdings Ltd and Aviva Global Services Ltd and a member of the Aviva Group Executive Committee, having been with Aviva since 2008. Prior to that he was the Chief Investment Officer of the Fixed Income and Investment Solutions Division of ABN AMRO Asset Management, Chairman of the company's London Board and a member of the Global Executive Team.
During the past five years Paul Abberley has held the following directorships: Aviva Investors Holdings Ltd, Aviva Investors Global Services Ltd, Aviva Investors London Ltd, Aviva Investors France and Orn Capital Ltd.
There is no other information that is required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R in relation to this appointment.
