("CAML" or the "Company")

Director's Interests in Shares

Central Asia Metals plc (AIM:CAML) was yesterday notified that, Mr Robert Cathery, a non-executive Director of the Company, has disposed of ordinary shares of US$0.01 each of the Company ("Shares") as follows:

· 834,000 Shares by Robert Cathery;

· 17,445 Shares by Mr Cathery's wife, Elizabeth Cathery; and,

· 680,000 Shares by Robert Cathery's Family Trust.

All of the above transactions were completed yesterday at a price of 168.75 pence and following the transactions Mr Cathery's total beneficial interest in the Company's Shares is 2,105,254 Shares, representing approximately 1.9% of the issued share capital of the Company. Of the 2,105,254 Shares, 1,355,254 are now held by Mr Cathery, 250,000 Shares are held by Elizabeth Cathery and 500,000 Shares are held jointly by Mr Cathery with Elizabeth Cathery in the Family Trust.
